The Samsung Fascinate, a Galaxy S smartphone, has been announced by Verizon Wireless and Samsung Telecommunications America today. Just the other Galaxy S / Samsung Vibrant, this handset is powered by Android 2.1 operating system and is equipped with support for Google Mobile Services, like Gmail, YouTube, Android Market and more.

The Samsung Fascinate features a 4-inch Super AMOLED touch screen display, which is powered by Samsung 1GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird application processor. This smartphone also has a virtual QWERTY keyboard featuring Swype technology, and an integrated entertainment, multimedia, messaging and social networking experience. Just the original Galaxy S, it’s featured with a 5.0-megapixel camera / camcorder – Auto-focus and LED flash with HD video recording and playback (720p) capabilities, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth, 3.5-millimeter headphone jack, 2GB internal memory expandable to 32GB, and 16GB microSD included.
Additional features of Verizon’s Samsung Fascinate include V CAST Music with Rhapsody, V CAST Video on Demand, V CAST Song ID, V CAST Tones, Bing Maps, Bing Search, VZ Navigator, and Visual Voice Mail.
